What is Transformative Coaching?
The most distinctive aspect of Transformative Coaching is that, instead of focusing on techniques or coping strategies, the benefits come from the implications of insightful understanding. These insights include discovering who and what you truly are, understanding the true origin of your life experiences, and accessing the authentic freedom and ease available to you in each moment.
How does it work, exactly?
Well, let me tell you about “The Space.”
My primary calling as a coach is to assist clients in accessing an internal space that allows their innate wisdom to come forth, providing insights (“to see from within”). This can be experienced from specific applications of bodywork as well as exploratory conversations.
I am quite aware that the above sounds like “New Age BS.”
Stick with me for just a minute… and perhaps you’ll get a whiff of what I’m stepping in.
What I call The Space is quite like what is referred to as FLOW or The Zone, and there is a buttload (official term) of scientific research about the existence of this state and how to hack into it. One of the most beautiful characteristics of this state is that the concept of “self” loosens or even dissolves completely. That is why it is the gateway to FREEDOM.
Most everyone these days is preoccupied and distracted. They are overflowing with (mostly useless) information, obligations, and deadlines, not to mention self-doubt and other mental/emotional misunderstandings.
Although everyone (yes, everyone!) has an abundance of innate wisdom and spiritual intelligence built into their human software, there is simply no space available for it to emerge and guide them.
By entering The Space (which is primarily a process of allowing) we are reconnected to our True Essence and experience a Quiet Mind.

What is a “Transformative Conversation”?
A Transformative Conversation is an exploration of who and what you truly are, and how your life experiences (yes, including your “problems”) are created. As you gain insights into HOW life works, many of those perceived problems tend to resolve themselves.
No matter your goals, understanding the “rules of the game” (hint: they’re flexible, and that’s great news) makes all the difference. With a deeper understanding, the right actions—if any are needed—become abundantly clear.

Transformative Coaching FAQ's
- I journey with people towards the discovery of who they really are, empower them with an understanding of the source of their experiences, and point them in the direction of their innate wisdom and well-being.
- I am compassionately and borderline obsessively curious about people and the meanings they create from their experiences.
- I do not believe that anyone is broken, and therefore no one needs to be “fixed”.
- I respect everyone’s map of reality as well as their deepest desires.
- I will always inquire and assist from my heart.
- I believe that laughter is the ultimate elixir and joy is our natural state of being.
Our first official coaching session (after our Discovery Conversation) is my chance to get to know you – where you are and where you might want to go, as well as what might have been stopping you from getting there until now. I’ll ask a lot of questions. And I’ll listen. Then I’ll likely ask some more questions.
Subsequent sessions will be a series of meaningful conversations about the human experience, the source of your current feelings and desires, and how an understanding of that relationship can guide you to the most appropriate course of action towards your goals.
The true measure of success for Transformation Coaching is not only the achievement of stated goals, but an improvement in your overall quality of life experience on the journey there.
It has been my experience that change happens quite rapidly, and therefore I focus on short term/high impact coaching methodologies. Long-term plans are better suited for therapy (see next question). My most popular coaching package is three-months, but it can vary on a case-by-case basis depending on the specific goals of each client.
Coaching and therapies work within different paradigms. In general, therapy focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders. My coaching focuses on discovering and developing internal resources and strategies for success. We’ll focus on where you are now, where you want to be, and how to get there. Renegade Life Coaching is action-oriented.
If you’re in need of counseling, seek out a qualified psychologist. If you’re in need of mood stabilizing medication, seek out a board-certified psychiatrist. Under strict circumstances – your therapist would need to be notified and agree to support your decision to enter a coaching relationship. Regular updates would be provided to your therapist and your therapist would approve the topics covered in coaching sessions.
Sadly, I do not know of any medical insurance companies that currently appreciate and cover coaching services.
I wouldn’t have it any other way. We both deserve the chance to get to know each other before deciding to spend time journeying together.
