Welcome.

I assume that you found your way here via my book Spiritual Constipation.

Or perhaps this is required of you as part of an elaborate hazing ritual for some Greek-themed clique you desperately want to join on campus.

Regardless, I’m glad you’re here.

There are many modes of transportation on the Spiritual Exploration Highway.

Throughout the book we pondered upon a multitude of topics, and I did my best to suggest a gentle relaxation of our intellectual faculties on this endeavor; to instead drop into the space of the felt sense of the body and an opening of the heart.

Easier suggested than done, no doubt. The pull of the intellect is strong and sufficiently ingrained, indeed.

To that end, let’s switch up the input source, and introduce some exploration from the auditory/somatic side of the equation.

These audio sessions could be considered a hybrid of guided meditation and hypnosis.

Guided Audio Sessions

The Do-Nothing Meditation

The (in)famous Do Nothing Meditation has a long history in the Buddhist tradition as well as many more recent teachers, including my go-to, Adyashanti. There are two parts to this session; the first is a short explanation on how to do nothing (trickier than one might think), and the second part is where you are invited to do nothing for a ten-minute non-meditation.

Part 1

Part 2

Compassionate Curiosity

In this meditative inquiry session, we will be evoking and abiding in the energetic emotional states of compassion and curiosity.

Curiosity is the engine that drives our journey within eschatological realism (our ever-evolving trajectory towards spiritual maturity and realization of our True Self).

Compassion is the fuel of the heart.

I suggest that you choose one specific issue or problem you are dealing with currently. It could be an ongoing emotion, a habit or simply a personality trait. Choose something that you’ve been trying to stop or get rid of for some time now.

Instead of attempting to exorcise yourself of said trait, habit, or emotion, you will “invite it in for tea”. This “bad” element will be welcomed into your heart and enveloped with deep compassion and a fierce curiosity.

Plant Prophets

This session is a bit different.

I would like to share with you the wisdom that has been so graciously gifted to me by the plants.

So, sit back
Relax
And hang on…
